Bob's Red Mill Whole Grain Sorghum is a gluten free grain with a hearty texture and mild, nutty flavor. This white sorghum can be popped like popcorn or used in pilafs, salads and anywhere else whole grains are called for.

Sorghum grain is an excellent source of dietary fiber, protein and antioxidants and a wonderful way to include the health benefits of whole grain food in a gluten free diet. Unlike some gluten free grains, the hearty, chewy texture of whole grain sorghum is very similar to wheat berries. Replace the noodles or white rice in soups with gluten free sorghum for a more nutritious alternative.

How to use

Stovetop: Bring 2 quarts of water to a boil in a pot with 1 tsp salt. Add I cup rinsed sorghum, return to a boil, then reduce the heat to medium-high and boil uncovered until soft, about 50—60 minutes. Drain off cooking water, then serve.
